Q.  Is an electric fireplace the right environmental choice?

A.  An electric fireplace is the ONLY environmentally friendly choice.  Every other fireplce that uses gas or wood or pellets must be burning a serious amount of fuel to create the fireplace ambiance.  An electric fireplace gives you a choice.  Use it with or wtihout heat at anytime of the year!

Q. What is the energy efficiency of an electric fireplace?

A. 100%.  All the energy supplied from your power point to our heater is converted to heat gained by your room.  There is no wasted energy lost in a flue or chimney.

Q. Do I need any fuel for an Electric Fireplace?

A.  No.  Simply plug the apliance into a standard electrical outlet and it's ready to use.

Q. Is an electric fireplace a healthy choice and are there any indoor air quality problems?

A. The electric fireplace is the safest and cleanest choice for you and your family.  It emits no pollutants.  The heaters simply circulate and heat the air in your room.  There is no risk of gas leaks or carbon monoxide and no mold that can be casued by condensation, a problem often found with other forms of heating.

Q. Do I need to replace light bulbs?

A.  You never have to change a light bulb with a LED unit (All Celsi units use LED lights).  Units with conventional incadescent lights will require replacement every so often.

Q. Is a Celsi Electric Fireplace better than other brands?

A. The Celsi electric fireplaces use brand new technology with patents applied for in many countries around the world.  Nothing else compares to the stunning visual impact you experience when relaxing in front of a Celsi fireplace.  Think "realism," since the Celsi units display a true images of a real fires (not lights and mirrors)!  LED technology uses less energy and lasts much longer than incadescent light bulbs, and with few moving parts, there is less chance for mechanical failures as well as silent operation.

Q. What is the heat output?

A. The output is controllable from the remote but on high, the units will produce just over 5,000 Btu's, supplemental heat for up to 450 square feet.

Q. How large area will this fireplace heat?

A.  Heating capacity depends upon many factors including insulation and heat loss, geographic location, positioning of the heater in the space, as well as outdoor temperatures, to name a few of the other determining factors.  Typically, though, our 5,000 Btu heaters will adequatley warm up to 450 square feet.  It can be thought of a as a suplemental or space heater.

Q. Are electric fireplaces expensive to run?

A. This really depends on many factors, like the previous question.  Our electric units can be operated either with or without heat and when you operate without heat the cost is almost inconsequential, considering the Celsi units use LED lighting and true flame images, especially as compared to gas or wood logs, which consume fuel whenever there is a fire, typically with lots of wasted heat going out a chimney.  The electric fireplace is an appliance you can use throughout the year without wasting energy and when the electric heater is used, 100% of the heat generated comes into the room, with no waste.

Q. Does the glass front become hot?

A. No. The glass front always remains safe to touch, however we recommend that you keep away children from any appliance.

Q. Do I need a chimney?

A. No.  All our electric fireplaces can be installed without a chimney or flue, so you can place them practically anywhere in your home or business.
