Paint grade product is made from solid poplar moldings and MDF which can be primed and painted.

The affordable Hartford in standard sizes is a premium style traditional wood fireplace mantel surround with an arch, also featuring a recessed panel motif. If you like this mantel, but don't need the arch, simply add a note to your order just prior to clicking the 'add to cart' button. The Standard Hartford will come with an arch. To order without the arch, simply enter "No arch" as a note before you click the add to the cart or as you check out.

Quality, well-built product

Ordering was easy...and the company kept me well informed along the way in terms of production and shipment. Product itself is EXTREMELY well built. We got one that is paint grade so uses a combination of wood and MDF -- all pieces go together seamlessly and once painted you would never know it's not 100% wood. Product was easy to assemble...just need to get the tiles redone around the surround and then we will be ready to install it.

We ordered the Hartford without the arch in a standard size. After a small mistake in the ordering process, the company was so helpful in getting it corrected and made it effortless on my part. The quality of the mantelpiece is outstanding and the guys are nice to talk to on the phone. They are responsive and really care about each order and what the customer wants. I highly recommend the company. When I order my next mantelpiece for another room remodel, this is the only company I will deal with.
