The Metropolitan is a lightweight stone fireplace mantel surround with an ultra contemporary, urban appeal. It has the look, texture and feel of natural limestone but since it weighs approximately 1/3 of the weight of natural quarried and carved stone, it's easier to handle and install (typically with just two people) without the slightest aesthetic compromise.

This modern style stone mantel surround is available for purchase on line here in two opening width sizes, for 36" or 42" fireplaces with a 53 1/2" overall mantel height, in a choice of four stone colors and with or without an optional block-style hearth.  This is a three piece mantel: two mantel legs and the mantel shelf.  The optional hearth (fitting between the mantel legs) usually requires some discussion during the order confirmation process to insure it will fit your fireplace.

Additional stone panels can be purchased to clad the walls around the fireplace. Contact a MantelCraft designer for any specific questions or for customization of the hearth.
