Product Description
The classic elegance of the Stratford traditional wood mantel shelf fits many decorating styles. It features sweeping crown molding and a simple yet finely detailed bottom skirt. This floating shelf is perfectly styled for fireplaces or other rooms and is hand crafted by our skilled artisans. Customize the dimensions to your liking for the perfect fit. Stratford features a protective raised molding for the top shelf. All stain grade mantels are made from a combination of hardwoods and veneers. Paint grade product is made from solid poplar moldings and MDF which can be primed and painted.

Perfect Fit and Style!

I moved into a new townhome with a gas fireplace. Since the style was more modern than what you typically find, the fireplace did not have a shelf atop the mantel frame. Of the course the size was not typical either and I needed to go the custom size route. Michael handle custom sales and he guided me through the process and suggested the proper dimensions. The shelf arrived ahead of schedule and was very well packaged. Installation was very easy and the shelf fit perfectly! It looks beautiful! Big kudos to Michael for his assistance and guidance! Mantelcraft will be the only place I go for fireplace mantels and shelves from now on!

Beautiful mantel

We purchased this custom mantel for our new fire place. It was exactly what we were looking for. It's beautiful, the color was perfect and the craftsmanship is wonderful! It came in a timely fashion and the packaging was very well done to keep it nice and protected. We are extremely pleased with how it came out, thanks again so very much!

When our house was built in 1997 we used Mantelcraft products around our two fireplaces. This year we decided to "dress up" one of them. I called the factory and they were extremely helpful in identifying what we had originally selected (20 years later!) and what mantel shelf might be appropriate. Less than two weeks later our new shelf arrived and it was perfect. It was installed, painted, and in use just a couple of days later. We're extremely pleased with how it came out and the easy process to achieve it.
